The main character is Hercule Poirot, the detective of the book. Poirot takes the train from Syria to Istanbul, wanting to stay there for a few days. With him, there are only two other persons, Mary Debenham and Colonel Arbuthnot. This book is probably one of Agatha Christie’s most famous books. It was first published in the UK in and is now classed as a classic crime novel. I first read it when I was a teenager and I loaned it out of my local library.
I remember I loved the book but now I am in my thirties I could not hardly remember anything about it!
